Apparently, one wedding just will not be enough for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West — at least if a new report is to be believed. The ultra-famous couple is reportedly planning not one, not even two, but three wedding ceremonies when they tie the knot this summer.
According to RadarOnline, Kimye will get married in the United States before heading to France for their May 24 ceremony, where they will wed twice more. The U.S. wedding is more for paperwork reasons, though.
“Typically, the U.S. recognizes citizens getting married in France, but dealing with a foreign government and paperwork could be a nightmare,” a source tells Radar. “So just to make sure it’s legal, Kim and Kanye will first be having a civil ceremony in Southern California.”
Then, the couple will fly to Europe for the two ceremonies required by law in France. Says a source at the French embassy in Washington, D.C., “A religious ceremony has to be performed after a civil ceremony, never before.”
In other Kimye wedding news, the couple has reportedly chosen the 17th century mansion Chateu de Louveciennes for their wedding location — as opposed to Versailles — and Kardashian is planning at least three wardrobe changes throughout the “over the top” day.
