“Arrow” is bringing a “Fringe” veteran back in Season 2. Seth Gabel will revisit his role as the Count, a Vertigo-peddling drug dealer last seen in an insane asylum. Showrunners Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg announced the news via the “DC All Access” web series.
“Seth Gabel is returning to the show as Count Vertigo,” Guggenheim reveals in a clip from the online show’s premiere episode. “He’s coming back, and he’s bringing a whole lot of chaos with him.”
Based on the DC comics character of Count Vertigo, Gabel’s character was seen in two episodes of Season 1. Utterly amoral and quite eccentric to begin with, the Count went completely insane after an overdose of his own drug, Vertigo. The character’s purpose or timing in Season 2 have not yet been revealed.
“DC All Access” will be a weekly web series from the comic-book company, hosted by Tiffany Smith and Blair Herter. The first episode premiered Tuesday at 1 p.m. ET at dccomics.com and also featured a report from the New York Comic-Con.
“Arrow” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
