Though the upcoming “Batman vs. Superman” movie has been pushed back to 2016, DC Comics and Warner Bros. are already at work on the inevitable “Justice League” movie that will follow it at some point.
In fact, they’ve already sat down with one actor in particular about appearing in the movie: “Arrow” star Stephen Amell. In an interview with Fandango, Amell says, “I have had discussions, but I think the gestation process for this project is a lot slower than most people think. I mean, they haven’t even shot the next one. They haven’t even shot a frame of the movie before the movie everyone thinks is the ‘Justice League’ movie!”
The possibility of Amell’s version of Green Arrow appearing in the movie raises an interesting question. If the TV and movie worlds mingle, would that mean The Flash would also figure into their plans? The character is getting his own “Arrow” spinoff, starring Grant Gustin. Considering the two shows co-exist, the “Justice League” movie would have to use Gustin as The Flash to maintain continuity.
For Amell, even if he does appear in the movie, it can’t distract from his primary job. “All we have to do for something like that to happen, or even be a possibility, is continue to take care of business with our show,” he says. “Then we put ourselves in a position — but the important thing is our show.”
