Audrina Patridge’s days as a reality star are apparently over … or at least for now.
She tells The Daily of her little-watched VH1 series, “We finished in April and I kind of decided I wanted to take some time off from reality.”
The network confirmed this, although with a slightly different take, saying, “VH1 will not be picking up ‘Audrina’ for a second season.”
This cancellation shouldn’t come as a huge surprise. The April debut of “Audrina” only brought in 791,000 viewers and ratings consistently dropped from there. The season finale delivered a minuscule 530,000 fans.
Patridge has been a reality TV regular since first joining the cast of “The Hills” in 2006. In addition to her self-titled show, she also was on “Dancing with the Stars,” making it to the sixth week before getting eliminated.
As for her next steps, she says, “I want to do something more like acting or hosting … I would love to get dressed up in costumes and talk in an accent and film in another country.”
