According a new report, Barbara Walters needs more handholding than most to understand the plot of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” The 84-year-old institution in American journalism apparently required four assistants who she yelled at throughout the entire movie to help her figure out what was going on in the flick.
A source tells the New York Daily News, “Every time someone came onscreen, she’d say out loud, ‘Who’s that?’ Then an assistant would fill her in. She even asked, ‘Is that Jennifer Lawrence?,’ which is weird considering she was probably watching the movie in preparation for an interview.”
The insider continues, “She couldn’t understand any of the plot twists and would ask ‘What’s going on?’ every five seconds. It was crazy. Even when characters reappeared on screen after having shown up 20 minutes earlier, she’d be like, ‘Who’s that?'”
“The View’s” host was described as being “so rude and entitled” with her “four lackeys who completely bowed to her” as she asked for help cleaning her glasses and for clarifications on the plot. But it sounds to us like Walters really was just a bit confused with the movie, which is understandable all things considered.
Do you find this story funny, or do you think Walters should have behaved herself better?
