TV host Barbara Walters was hospitalized back on Jan. 19 after a fall at an Inauguration party in Washington D.C. Doctors have not released her yet becuase she was running a fever and now they know why — chicken pox.
The 83-year-old reporter revealed Monday (Jan. 28) on “The View” via co-host Whoopi Goldberg that she has the chicken pox, a disease most people contract as children.
“You all know that she fell and cut her head 10 days ago, and then was
running a temperature,” says Goldberg. “But it turns out it is all the result of a
delayed childhood. Barbara has the chicken pox. She
never had it as a child. So now she’s been told to rest, she’s
not allowed any visitors.”
Goldberg adds, “No scratching! We love you, we miss you. We just don’t want to hug you.”
The AP reports that Walters has been transferred to a New York hospital after being in a hospital in the Washington D.C. area.
