Barbara Walters announced her list of the “10 Most Fascinating People of 2010” Monday (Nov. 29) morning on “The View,” and let’s just say the selections are…eclectic. While some of the 18th season’s picks were ridiculously obvious (Oh, hi Betty White!), others were head-scratching (the “Jersey Shore” cast). Who knew Walters was a fan of “GTL” and “smushing”?
]]>five things Zap2it wants to see from the interview will actually happen. Another not so surprising pick? Teen sensation Justin Bieber, who Walters adamantly says did not cut his hair. “He ran his fingers through his hair! The hair’s the same.” National security crisis averted. Sarah Palin was selected for the third year in a row and Palin declaring she could beat President Barack Obama in 2012 is “just the tip of the iceberg,” according to Walters. Other picks include actress Sandra Bullock, NBA superstar LeBron James, future princess Kate Middleton, Oprah Winfrey, and new “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez (because her whole life is going to change”). Three people who will definitely not be on the list? Walter’s co-hosts (Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Sherri Shepherd) who she basically told are not fascinating, but in a kind of nice way (“It’s none of you, as much as I love you”). Has someone been watching “Mean Girls”? The pick for the No. 1 most-fascinating person will be revealed on the ABC special, which airs Thursday, Dec. 9 at 10 p.m. EST. It definitely won’t be Tiger Woods because Walters says, “We try to keep it positive.”
