Imagine that your parents promise you a week-long vacation to someplace in the world you’ve always wanted to go, and then after you pack and are ready to jet off on your dream trip, they tell you they never actually booked the tickets. That sense of crushing disappointment and deep hurt is exactly how you’ll feel after watching the trailer for the Beyonce/Jay Z movie, “Run” … because it’s not actually going to be a real movie you can see.
The music industry’s ruling couple are prepping for their “On the Run Tour” — which kicks off on June 25 — and to give fans a taste of what to expect, Bey and Z released a music video on Saturday (May 17), “Run,” for their collaboration “Part II (On the Run).”
It’s a trailer for a movie “coming never” (yeah, that part was like a knife to our hearts, too), filled with some A-list stars like “Scandal’s” Guillermo Diaz, “Gossip Girl’s” Blake Lively, “Shameless” star Emmy Rossum, “House of Lies” star Don Cheadle, “Parks and Rec’s” Rashida Jones, Sean Penn, Jake Gyllenhaal and more.
Seriously, how is this not a real movie?! It’s got plenty of high-stakes drama, blockbuster-level action sequences, and the greatest leading lady and man Hollywood could ever want. We’d go see it in a heartbeat.
