Zap2it: Are you glad you did “Big Brother,” even if you went out earlier than you wanted to go home?
Devin Shepherd: Of course, it was an amazing experience. I came in and I played hard. I have no regrets, and I think the only way I would have regretted it is if I played as a floater and wished I would have done more.
What was your biggest downfall in the house?
Forming an alliance on day 2 with people I didn’t know.
It seemed from watching the live feeds that paranoia was a big problem for you in the house, do you think that’s fair to say?
Of course. Paranoia runs wild in the “Big Brother” house no matter who you are, some people just handle it better than others. Obviously, I didn’t handle it very well.
Was the game a lot harder than you imagined?
Watching the game from my living room and then getting the opportunity to go inside the house and play gives you a new-found respect for past contestants. This game was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life.
Do you have any regrets? What would you do differently if you could start over?
I only have two regrets. One, forming an alliance on day two and secondly, not using Victoria as my replacement nominee instead of Zach. Starting over, I’d probably feel people out a little more before making such strong game moves and really putting my stamp on the game after getting to know who everyone truly is.
Who do you think is in the best position in the house right now?
In my opinion, Derrick is in the best position right now only because he took out a huge player in the game that the house unanimously wanted to evict in the first place.
Who do you think is in danger this week?
Victoria and Caleb. Victoria, at times, can be cute and comical but her constant need for attention and demands are rubbing people the wrong way. Caleb’s in danger simply for that fact that he’s another strong competitor. His arrogance and need to show everyone his competitive side will be his downfall.
“Big Brother 16” airs Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays on CBS.
