Is the world ready for a fresh look at “Bonnie & Clyde”? Well, they better be.
The mini-series event of the season, airing simultaneously across Lifetime, A&E and History, will take viewers back into the story of Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker and their legendary crime spree.
In the just-released first look at the small-screen event, Emile Hisrch and Holliday Grainger bring the criminal couple to life with the support of a cast that includes heavy hitters the likes of Holly Hunter and William Hurt.
The mini-series has a lot to live up to, as comparisons to the 1967 feature film starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway will certainly loom over the premiere, but the trailer looks as though the update could be a bit of fun. Or it could be a total disaster. Part of the fun will be finding out.
“Bonnie & Clyde” airs on Sunday, Dec. 8 and Monday Dec. 9 at 9 p.m. ET, simulcast on Lifetime, A&E and History.
