After the unbelievable tension in the season premiere of “Breaking Bad,” the show takes at least a little bit of a breath in Sunday’s (July 24) episode.
At least, that’s how it looks from this preview. Sure, Walt (Bryan Cranston) spends much of the two-plus minutes inspecting, loading or waving around a pistol (the episode is called “Thirty-Eight Snub”), and he gets visibly agitated when Skyler (Anna Gunn) brings up the car wash — where they plan to launder Walt’s drug profits — over the phone.
But the prosaic details (Walt packing himself a lunch, Skyler in her bathrobe) — and, OK, the fact that Walt smacks his head on the kitchen counter — lighten the mood just a little bit. We’re guessing, though, that probably won’t last.
“Breaking Bad” airs at 10 p.m. ET Sunday on AMC.
