Britney Spears may already have two marriages under her belt, but that doesn’t mean she can’t still wear white to her fake wedding. The resurgent pop star is looking like Madonna, circa “Like a Virgin,” on the cover of an upcoming issue of British fashion magazine Pop.
Designed by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, the shoot features Britney dressed fairly child bride-ish in a veil and tiara, surrounded by Murakami’s darkly whimsical cartoons. A little weird, yes, but Britney seems pleased.
]]>The future “Glee” guest star tweeted her approval upon seeing the proofs. “I just saw the photos for the first time and they are beautiful,” she writes.
Pop’s latest issue doesn’t hit newsstands until September 1, but Grazia has a first look at it (via ONTD),
and we have to agree with Britney. Over-stylized collaborations with
more subversive artists can only boost the singer’s credibility.
