Talk about a touchdown for “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”
Not only did FOX announce on Friday (Oct. 18) that the freshman comedy had received a full season order, but the network also revealed its plan to slot Andy Samberg and crew in the plum post-Super Bowl position this February.
“It’s really exciting to see that both critics and fans love ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ as much as we do,” Kevin Reilly, FOX’s chairman of entertainment, said in a statement. “With Andy and Andre [Braugher] out in front of this incredible ensemble, it feels like this show is going to be around for a long time.”
The cop comedy, created by Dan Goor and Michael Schur, will join “New Girl” in a special one-hour event, immediately following Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014.
