“Summer of ’69” hitmaker Bryan Adams welcomes his second child with Alicia Grimaldi, a baby girl named Lula Rosylea.
Adams tells fans in a Facebook posting, “The name Lula comes from Gene Vincent’s 1958 song ‘Be-Bop-A-Lula’ and Rosylea is a play on the expression ‘a rosie lee’ which is cockney rhyming slang in London for ‘a cup of tea’ and pronounced the same. She was born in London and … she’s my cup of tea.” Aw, that’s pretty sweet.
The couple has a daughter, Mirabella Bunny, who is coming up on her second birthday. Adams previously explained that name choice as well, saying, “She arrived like all good Easter bunnies on Easter Friday.”
Grimaldi, 32, is the co-founder and trustee of the “Bryan Adams Foundation,” though she started out as his personal assistant. Adams is 53 and in recent years has added professional photographer to his resume in addition to Grammy-winning musician for songs like “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You,” written for “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.”
