“I’ve had plenty of panic attacks. I actually went to the hospital three times thinking I was having something wrong with my heart, and my wife is like, ‘What is wrong with you.'” Watson says. “So I’ve had some issues, and I did some tests and a whole bunch of things where I had some issues.”
But thankfully, Watson’s troubles have been largely off the fairways.
“On the golf course I’m kind of in my comfort zone. Doesn’t look like it but I am,” says Watson.
Watson teed off Thursday (Jan. 3) at the PGA tour season opener, the Hyundai Tournament of Champions at Kapalua in Hawaii. He says his goal this year is the same as it is every year — “to win a golf tournament.”
