Camille Grammer confirmed that she is leaving “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and says it’s the show’s producers that are to blame — sounds like her desire to keep her life out from under the microscope was part of the decision too.
“I can’t say too much at this moment, but we couldn’t get it worked out,” Grammer tells Us Weekly.
“I love these girls. I really do,” she says of fellow “Real Housewives” Kim and Kyle Richards, Taylor Armstrong, Lisa Vanderpump and Adrienne Maloof. “I’ve had so much fun with the franchise, but I guess the producers and I couldn’t come to an agreement.”
She adds that she would have “definitely” been back for another season had they been able to reach an agreement. However, based on what she said to E! Online, it sounds like that may not have been such a certainty in her mind.
“I didn’t want to expose my personal life so much anymore,” she tells
E! “I had done that and was over that. I care very much for my family
and children and that show tends to take me away from them. I really
want to focus on them right now.”
Of course, this isn’t the first time Kelsey Grammer’s ex and producers have butted heads. After Season 1, which included the Dinner Party from Hell with friend Allison DuBois and a massive feud with Kyle, Camille accused Bravo of editing foul by making her into “America’s Most Hated Housewife” (as voted by readers of Life & Style). Season 2 brought with it a new, softer side of Camille (better editing?), so surely viewers will be more sad to see her go than if she had departed after the first season.
Are you bummed that Camille won’t be back next season?
