While NBC hasn’t officially announced when the latest season of “The Celebrity Apprentice” will begin, it sounds like the production is well underway in the casting department. The latest stars rumored to be competing for Donald Trump’s adoration include Kate Gosselin, Geraldo Rivera, Keshia Knight Pulliam and a couple of “Real Housewives.”
According to TMZ, Rivera, Pulliam and Gosselin are all signed on to appear on the seventh season of the show, alongside “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Glanville and “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore.
NBC had not confirmed that the show would even return for the 2013-14 season until January. NBC head of alternative programming Paul Telegdy said the holdup on the official announcement was because of casting issues.
“In the celebrity iteration of ‘The Apprentice,’ we obviously need to know we can cast the show,” Telegdy, told TV critics in July 2013 at the TCA summer press tour. “That’s the bit of the process we’re in, which is the restocking of the celebrity pond. … That’s taking some time.”
Telegdy confirmed to reporters at January’s TCA winter press tour that casting on Season 7 had finally begun.
