When Charice‘s guest starring role on “Glee” was announced last summer, we expected to see a lot of her — but Sunshine Corazon didn’t stick around McKinley High for very long after Rachel (Lea Michele) sent her to a crack house.
Yeah… this show is kind of weird.
She returned in tonight’s episode when the glee club held a “Night of Neglect” benefit for the Brainiacs, a neglected school club. After all, Sunshine knows how it feels to fly solo.
“I’m such a better singer than everyone else, so I know how it feels,” she says, as Rachel’s blood boils. “I’m all alone at the top. Also, I’m really short, so even when I’m in a group of people, it feels like I’m wandering alone through a forest.”
Sunshine sang Eric Carmen’s song “All By Myself” to prove her worth — and she offered up her 600 twitter followers, which was a nice tongue-in-cheek reference to Charice’s rather obsessive Twitter fanbase.
We’ll be seeing more of her this season, and if she returns next season, she’s got her fingers crossed for one thing: “I would love a duet with Mercedes,” says Charice. “I think she’s an amazing singer. ‘And I’m Telling
You’ is the greatest thing I’ve heard.”
What did you think of Charice’s return? Would you have liked to see more of her? What do you hope will happen with her story toward the end of the season? Weigh in below in the comments.
