When news broke that Kathy Bates is set to guest star on “Two and a Half Men” as the ghost of Charlie Harper — Charlie Sheen‘s not-so-dearly departed character — many fans believed that it was one final jab at Sheen from creator Chuck Lorre.
Sheen, however, isn’t taking the news as an insult. Friends of Sheen’s tell TMZ that he thinks Bates is an “incredibly funny, talented actress,” and he’s “honored” to share his character with her for the April 30 episode.
Apparently, he’s even planning to take a break from his new job on “Anger Management” to tune in and watch the episode, which he hasn’t exactly praised since he was replaced by Ashton Kutcher.
CBS just announced that the “Two and a Half Men” season finale will air Monday, May 14, at 9 p.m. EST. It will focus on Jake’s (Angus T. Jones) graduation from high school and a “huge decision” that he makes about his future.
