“Chuck” throws a bachelor party on Monday (May 2). And as with any good bachelor party, the people involved either don’t remember or aren’t willing to share everything that happens.
In this case, it’s probably the latter — we’re talking about fictional characters, after all. Still, when Zap2it visited the “Chuck” set recently, it wasn’t easy to pry much information about the bachelor party from the cast.
“Casey brings weapons, as always. There’s target practice,” Adam Baldwin says.
“There are some spears being whittled,” adds Joshua Gomez. (“There is some whittling,” Baldwin agrees.) “Your standard bachelor party — you know.”
Wait — whittling? Target practice? It seems that rather than go to Las Vegas as planned, the guys end up on a camping trip. Which, uh, may not end up going so well. “What’s the movie with Burt Reynolds? … ‘Deliverance,'” Ryan McPartlin tells us. “But not like that, the scary part of it. [More] the suspenseful part of it. …
“Anyhow, you know, nothing on ‘Chuck’ goes as planned, and neither does [the bachelor party] because a bunch of bad guys show up and they’re trying to get something — the [Intersect] computer that was accidentally in my bag instead of Ellie’s.”
That would help explain the return of Ray Wise as the Volkoff family attorney in the preview clip below. You’ll also see a bunch of mostly naked men writhing around Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) — because Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) gives her a bachelorette party.
“That was an interesting scene to shoot,” Strahovski says. “The way I really want to talk about it is really crass, but I can’t. Oh my gosh, it was me on a chair with these four dudes, but my head was level with their genitals and they were right there. It was horrifying! …
“It was… yeah. I was speechless after that one. I did create a 10-inch [separation] rule that one particular fellow did not abide by. He had to [laughs] — how do I say this? He was very close to my shoulder. He felt the need for contact on the shoulder.”
One thing no one on set would talk about, though, is the very big deal in the title of Monday’s episode, “Chuck vs. Agent X.” It looks like Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Ellie are about to stop lying to one another about the Intersect — and maybe, just maybe, we’ll find out who Agent X is.
“Chuck” airs at 8 p.m. ET Monday on NBC. Here’s a preview.
