Ohio State University isn’t the only college that can pull off epic marching band halftime shows. Clemson University put its video game-loving foot forward in a Nintendo-themed halftime show that honored two of the company’s biggest franchise: “Super Mario Bros.” and “The Legend of Zelda.”
Themes from the “Mario” games and “Zelda” titles like “Windwaker” and “Ocarina of Time” were played while the marching band shifted into forms like a Nintendo controller, Goombas, Princess Peach’s castle, Link with his ocarina and the Tri-Force. Seriously, it’s amazing. With a halftime show like this, it’s no wonder Clemson beat Georgia Tech.
