The fourth season of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” rolled out on Crackle Thursday (June 19), with Jerry Seinfeld and his guest Sarah Jessica Parker both revisiting their childhoods.
Parker does so by having Seinfeld pick her up in a wood-paneled, 1976 Ford Country Squire station wagon, and she’s ecstatic about the acres of space, huge amounts of glass and loud turn signals: “When I was little, that sound was like the score of my life,” she says. They then take the giant land barge to the suburbs where Seinfeld grew up, stopping for lunch at a diner and talking about parenting, kids and which word to emphasize when you say the phrase “rye bread.” Plus there’s a new theme song, performed by Seinfeld himself.
It’s as loose and funny as Parker has been on screen in some time, and it’s a pretty good way to start the season. You can watch the full episode below; future Season 4 installments will feature the likes of Aziz Ansari, Jon Stewart and Robert Klein.
