Monteith was found dead in his hotel room Saturday (July 13), and fans started leaving flowers, notes and other mementos on the sidewalk in front of the Fairmont Pacific Rim on Sunday. Canadian news agencies also snapped a photo of Monteith’s cousin, Richard, overcome with emotion as he stopped by the sidewalk tribute.
“You inspire me. I give all my love and pray for your friends and family. You are my idol,” one note reads in part.
Zap2it‘s Kate O’Hare was in Monteith’s hometown of Victoria, B.C., over the weekend and snapped the following photos of the Walmart where Monteith worked as a greeter before becoming an actor, and a coffee house he frequented and taped a local TV interview following “Glee’s” first season in 2010.
