It’s a tough time for TV fans as networks are giving their final say on whether or not shows are returning next year. The CW joined in the bloodbath on Thursday (May 8), canceling three dramas.
“The Carrie Diaries,” “The Tomorrow People” and “Star-Crossed” will not return next fall.
Freshman dramas “The Tomorrow People” starring Robbie Amell, Peyton List and Luke Mitchell and “Star-Crossed” starring Matt Lanter and Aimee Teegarden did not garner high enough ratings to merit a return trip, while sophomore “Sex and the City” prequel drama “The Carrie Diaries” starring AnnaSophia Robb struggled in its Friday night slot (though fans were left wanting more
Also noteworthy is while The CW picked up four pilots to series, it passed on the “Supernatural” spinoff, “Supernatural: Bloodlines.” Looks like the monster families in Chicago can rule the city hunter-free going forward.
