It might not be a Tupac hologram, but there was still an exciting reveal April 12 at Coachella. Right before the Yeah Yeah Yeahs took to the Main Stage, a short teaser for Daft Punk’s upcoming album “Random Access Memories” played for fans and revealed a snippet from the band’s new track, “Get Lucky.”
The short music video confirms that Daft Punk worked with musicians like Pharrell Williams, Panda Bear, Julian Casablancas, Todd Edwards, DJ Falcon, Chilly Gonzales, Giorgio Moroder, Nile Rodgers and Paul Williams on their new album. Pharrell seems to at least have been a collaborator on “Get Lucky.”
The single “Get Lucky” will drop on April 15. There’s still a lot of buzz speculating that Daft Punk will have a surprise performance during Coachella, though it’s not confirmed. “Random Access Memories” is due on store shelves on May 21.
