From last place to a perfect score within one week, Evan Lysacek is the official comeback kid of “Dancing With the Stars” Season 10.
Last week, Lysacek’s samba earned sevens from all three judges and had him tied for last alongside Niecy Nash and Jake Pavelka (Pavelka got voted off the next night). But with the competitive spirit of an Olympic champion, he fought his way back to the winner’s podium — scoring perfect 10s from all three judges on Monday (May 3).
Lysacek danced his heart out, giving his all with a strong, sexy Argentine tango that had the crowd roaring on their feet at the end. You knew something big was about to happen.
“Evan Lysacek has the eye of the tiger!” exclaimed judge Carrie Ann Inaba. “A perfect combination of power and control…. I loved it!”
Len Goodman gave us a pretty strong indication that he was handing out double digits: “I have a paddle in here I haven’t used yet, and I’m going to dust it off.”
Bruno Tonioli focused on Lysacek’s manliness: “You danced like a true alpha male,” said the Italian judge. Tonioli also threw out words like “powerful,” “aggressive” and “sexy.”
