It was time for the Team Cha Cha competition on “Dancing With the Stars” where the contestants break off into two teams and compete against each other. The two highest-scoring couples from last week got to choose their team — high school dodgeball style.
Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas chose Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff and Romeo and Chelsie Hightower. Macchio worried at first that he wouldn’t be able to keep up with the younger Disney star and rapper, while Kane didn’t want to lose to a group of parents. Romeo was a little bummed about being chosen last, but got over it.
The three couples danced the Cha Cha to Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” in sparkling black outfits and scored pretty good remarks from the judges. Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli gave them a 7, while Carrie Ann Inaba and guest judge Donnie Burns scored the three couples with an 8. Chelsea and Mark’s team scored 30 out of 40 points.
Hines Ward and Kym Johnson chose Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel. Alley said they are the team with the “most butt,” Wilkinson worried about Alley and Maks holding back the group and Hines acted like his adorable self and said he doesn’t want anyone from his team to go home.
The group danced to Ke$ha’s “We R Who We R.” The judges basically reversed their scores for this group, Bruno and Len scored them with an 8, while Donnie and Carrie gave them a 7 for a total of 30 out of 40 points.
Do you think the dance-off should have ended in a tie?
