Danica McKellar, perhaps best know as Winnie Cooper from “The Wonder Years” is now a single lady.
The actress and mathematics book author filed for divorce from her husband of nearly three years, Mike Verta, in June 2012. McKellar and Verta had been a couple for eight years when they wed in March 2009.
TMZ reports a judge has signed off on the divorce and ordered the couples 2009 prenuptial agreement go into effect. The agreement, which is under seal, lays out the spousal support terms, as well as custody arrangements for the couple’s two-year-old son, Draco.
Though she’s most famous as the neighbor Kevin Arnold (Fred Savage) — and everyone else in America — had a crush on, Danica has made numerous TV guest appearances since the show ended in 1993, including “The Big Bang Theory” and “How I Met Your Mother.” In January, she starred with Apolo Ohno in the Syfy TV movie, “Tasmanian Devils.”
As a summa cum laude mathematics graudate of UCLA, McKellar has also authored several math books for young girls, including “Math Doesn’t Suck,” “Kiss My Math,” and “Hot X: Algebra Exposed.”
