Danica Patrick was nailed by a rock from a race track Thursday night in Las Vegas, Nev. The race car driver wasn’t behind the wheel when it happened, but was simply attending the event, the Associated Press reports.
The rock hit Patrick in the head, leaving the point of impact sore. She says she’s glad she was wearing a hat when she got hit, because if she hadn’t “there would have been blood.” Patrick briefly spoke with medical staff on Friday, but there were no serious problems.
The incident is small potatoes compared to her crash in Phoenix, Ariz., last Sunday. With 100 laps left in the race, Patrick’s car slammed into the wall, leaving her with a stiff neck and a headache.
