Danica Patrick, the photogenic Indy car driver who is already the third highest-paid female athlete in the world, is making a move to NASCAR.
Patrick is close to a deal, reports the Associated Press, that will put her on the Nationwide Series schedule full-time on the team owned by two-time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart.
This doesn’t mean that Patrick, however, will give up Indy car racing completely. She’ll still be able to compete in the Indianapolis 500. Patrick hasn’t yet won that title, though she did come in third in 2009.
