If the fall season just doesn’t feel the same for you this year, that might be because “30 Rock” is still nowhere to be found. The NBC comedy’s sixth season has been delayed by star and creator Tina Fey‘s maternity leave.
But the show won’t be out of commission forever — especially after the recent flurry of casting news.
“So excited,” she writes. “I’m going to be doing an episode of 30 Rock! One of my favorite shows!” [Editor’s note: we removed a few of her exclamation points, as it’s pretty clear how she feels.]
Richards most recently appeared on Spike TV’s “Blue Mountain State.”
Also joining “30 Rock” is James Marsden. THR reports the actor, who recently guested on “Modern Family,” has booked six episodes of the series — which makes us think he’ll almost definitely be a love interest for Liz Lemon.
“30 Rock,” which returns in early 2012, will also include the another appearance from “Up All Night” star Will Arnett as Devon Banks.
For the record: An earlier version of this story stated Denise Richards had a cameo on the Season 9 premiere of “Two and a Half Men. She was asked to appear but did not.
