“Devious Maids,” the long delayed new series from “Desperate Housewives” creator Marc Cherry, is getting an extra push as it heads toward its Lifetime debut.
The network will make the pilot episode available in both English and Spanish beginning Sunday (June 9) via online and VOD platforms including myLifetime.com. That’s a full two weeks before the show’s official June 23 debut on the network.
In addition to the sneak peek, Lifetime announced that every episode of the show will be available online and via VOD in both English and Spanish-language versions after its first airing.
“Maids” is based on Televisa’s telenovela “Ellas Son La Alegria Del Hogar” and focuses on the soapy lives of five maids (played by Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramirez, Judy Reyes, Roselyn Sanchez and Edy Ganem), their families and employers.
Cherry’s former “Housewives” star Eva Longoria is among the executive producers.
