Bloodthirsty “Dexter” fans don’t have to wait for the Sunday, Sept. 26 premiere for a taste of his special brand of justice.
In the behind-the-scenes peek, the set dressers and prop people admit that they find the Kill Room just as creepy as we do. We’ve certainly never looked at plastic wrap and painter’s drop cloths — 4 millimeters — the same way again.
But hey, Halloween is coming up, and if you’d like to set up a Kill Room (for fun atmosphere only, not for actual use) in your haunted house, prop master Joshua Meltzer breaks it down for you.
We also love how Hall gets into character, watching the Kill Room get set up so he can “imagine that’s my handiwork.”
That handiwork will get much play in the fifth season. We’ve already seen the first three episodes, and it looks like Dexter’s going to be pretty busy rolling out the plastic and making incisions. We return to see our anti-hero dealing with the harrowing surprise ending from the previous season, which will color everything, in addition to learning to care for his infant son Harrison.
