After passing away almost a year ago, following a massive heart attack, it has been revealed that Dick Clark left a million dollars to his college fraternity. TMZ obtained legal documents filed by Clark’s estate, giving the money to the Delta Kappa Epsilon Foundation, in New York.
The foundation handles the finances for all of the Delta Kappa Episilon fraternity’s chapters at colleges across the country. The frat currently consists of 51 chapters, and has many notable alumni. In addition to Clark, former presidents Rutherford B. Hayes, Theodore Roosevelt, and Gerald Ford have held memberships in the fraternity, as well as George Bush, and his son George W. Bush.
Dick was a member of DKE while attending Syracuse University, from 1947-1951. Clark, who hosted “American Bandstand” from 1956-1989, also helped Americans ring in the New Year for over 40 years with “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.”
