Filming has begun on the new season of “Doctor Who” in Cardiff, Wales. Though we know we’ll be heartbroken to see the current companions Amy (Karen Gillian) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) leave this season, we’re thrilled the the long hiatus is one step closer to an end.
According to a BBC America press release, Matt Smith is happy to be back in the bow tie. He says, “It’s thrilling and exciting to be back and working with two of my closest friends. Gillian adds, “It’s just brilliant to be back on the TARDIS with Matt and Arthur for our craziest adventures yet.”
They’ve confirmed three guest stars, including David Bradley, Rupert Graves and Mark Williams for Season 7 and say there will be a dramatic turn of events when the Doctor meets a new friend. We’re getting 14 new episodes and we can’t wait to see what the Doctor says is “cool” this time around.
