The queen of the disco era Donna Summer has died at the age of 63 after a long battle with cancer.
According to TMZ, the songstress, famous for songs like “Last Dance,” “Bad Girls” and “Hot Stuff” won five Grammys during her career. She was the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach number one on the Billboard chart. She also had 4 number one singles in a period of thirteen months.
Summer was in Florida at the time of her death. She was working on an album with nephew O’Mega Red as late as July 2011 called “Angel” Her songs have been covered by artists from all sides of the industry.
