Ellen DeGeneres welcomes Pamela Anderson on her show Thursday (Nov. 7) to apologize for not believing in her when she said a few weeks ago that she’d be running the New York City Marathon to raise money for Haiti.

“It is time for a segment called “The 1st Ever I was Wrong by Ellen DeGeneres,” says the host. “I may have accidentally said [Pamela Anderson] would not finish [the New York City Marathon]. More than once. … please welcome New York City Marathon finisher Pamela Anderson.”

Anderson also debuts her new pixie haircut on “Ellen,” a look she says she stole from the talk show host.

“I just thought my hair had a life and I wanted to kind of put that behind me and start fresh and I thought it would be good for the marathon and it was,” says Anderson.

“You look fantastic. I love it. Let’s talk about that you did it and congratulations you did it in five hours and?” asks DeGeneres.

“And forty-one minutes, which is a long time. … Yeah, I finished, it was hard. It was those last five miles, it was like giving birth. … It was like giving birth and then being told to run as you’re giving birth,” says Anderson. “It was so much pain in my hips. I don’t know if women are meant to run, especially after having kids, but we raised a lot of money for Haiti for our JPA trial.”

The JPA trial she speaks of is the J/P Haitian Relief Organization, which aims to save lives and bring
sustainable programs to the Haiti following the earthquake of 2010.
