“I have had no control over my life,” she tells the magazine. “I have lived in a complete bubble. They found me and picked me for the part. And now I’m desperately trying to find my way through it.”
Watson admits that she definitely gave the studio a lot to worry about over the course of the 8 films.
“I have felt for the last ten years I have had this battle. I’ve been fighting so hard to have an education. It’s been this uphill struggle,” she says, referring to her contract negotiations so that the final two films would accommodate her attendance at Brown University — which she has since left. “I was Warner Bros.’ pain in the butt. I was their scheduling conflict. I was the one who made life difficult.”
Well, pain in the butt or not, we’re pretty sure she was worth it.
