MTV announced today (Aug. 19) that its newest scripted drama, “Finding Carter,” will be getting a Season 2.
The hour long series follows the story of Carter, a 16 year old girl who finds out she was kidnapped as a young child and must leave the life she’s always known to rejoin her biological family.
“The creative minds behind ‘Finding Carter’ did an exceptional job bringing this story to life and drawing our audience in,” says President of MTV Programming, Susanne Daniels in a press statement. “I’m looking forward to another season following Carter on her journey.”
Season 2 of “Finding Carter” will bring fans 12 all new episodes as Carter struggles to navigate her new family, high school and friends while also trying to find the only mother she’s ever really known.
The show is ranked as 2014’s no. 1 new cable series amongst the 12-34 age bracket and with teens. Check the mid-season trailer below:
