Though FOX ordered its Egyptian drama “Hieroglyph” to series for a midseason launch, the project has been canceled.
THR reports that the plug had been pulled due to “creative reasons.” Only one episode of the 13 that were ordered had been filmed when the decision to cancel was made. Writers on the series were working on scripts for the remaining episodes.
The cancellation comes only a month after FOX Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly announced he would be leaving the company. A replacement has yet to be named.
