News broke yesterday that Frankie Muniz, previously of “Malcolm in the Middle” fame, and girlfriend Elycia Turnbow had a domestic dispute that may have involved a gun, may have involved Muniz punching and throwing Turnbow against the wall and may have involved Turnbow yelling and hitting him in the face. It became quite the he said/she said incident, but police told them if it ever happened again, they’d both go to jail.
Wednesday morning (Feb 16), the AP is reporting that Phoenix police say they removed a gun from Muniz’s home. Muniz told the police the gun wasn’t loaded, but the Arizona Republic is reporting that officers retrieved a gun from a closet and said that it was loaded. Perhaps there were two guns involved. Turnbow told the police she was worried Muniz might be suicidal.
When police questioned Muniz about the altercation, he said he could not have assaulted Turnbow because “[he loves] her too much. She is the woman [he wants] to marry.”
