It’s official: We’re all old, because it’s the 20th anniversary of the premiere of “Friends.” Good thing Warner Bros. is opening a pop-up Central Perk in New York City offering free Eight O’Clock Coffee beginning Sept. 17. We might be contemplating our own morality, but at least we’ll all be alert while doing it!
The Central Perk pop-up will serve free cups of coffee — including Eight O’Clock’s limited edition Central Perk Roast — at 199 Lafayette St. (at the corner of Broome St.) in Soho through Oct. 18 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends.
In addition to sweet, sweet caffeine, the shop will have authentic “Friends” props, a selfie-ready recreation of the set (including the famous orange couch), appearances by “Friends” baristo Gunther, a.k.a. James Michael Tyler, contests and giveaways, Phoebe-esque live music and more.
