Valar Morghulis, fellow “Game of Thrones” fans. With the premiere of HBO’s hit fantasy series only weeks away, it’s time to start preparing for the show’s return.
One of the easiest and most fun ways to do so is by picking up the latest “Game of Thrones” beer, the Fire & Blood Red Ale. Zap2it got an early sampling of the beer, and we’re happy to share that it’s richer than the Iron Throne Blonde Ale but not quite as hearty as the Take The Black Stout. It’s got a caramely taste, and is definitely on the sweeter side.
You can get a taste of the Red Ale — which has three different collectible designs — when it releases on March 31. Fans looking to find where the beer will be available closest to them should check out the “find a beer” tab at the Brewery Ommegang website. Meanwhile, the HBO Store is selling the above Fire & Blood glass for $9.99.
Another fun way to prepare for Season 4 is by picking up the “Game of Thrones: A Pop-Up Guide to Westeros” book. It was announced at San Diego Comic-Con, and arrived on our doorstep just in time to promote the upcoming season. In addition to its pop-up designs, which are reminiscent of the “Game of Thrones” opening credits, it also includes informative details about the world of Westeros and beyond. The book is available on the HBO Store for $65.
