Emilia Clarke, best known for playing the role of Daenerys Targaryen in HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” is making her way to the big screen. It’s be reported that she will star in James Franco‘s upcoming directorial effort “The Gardens of Last Days.”
Her role in the new film will be markedly different from her part in “Game of Thrones.” The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Clarke will play “a stripper who brings her 3-year-old daughter to work” in one of three interwoven stories. Franco will also have a role in the movie.
“The Garden of Last Days” is based on the 2008 Andre Dubus III novel of the same name. The film is slated to begin shooting in July. Though this indie is reported to have a low budget, this will be Clarke’s biggest film role to date. She also starred in the British crime drama “Dom Hemingway,” which also stars Jude Law and Demian Bichir.
