The Lannister family in “Game of Thrones” might be made of money, but the same isn’t the case for star Lena Headey in real life. The actress is reportedly broke, and barely has $5 in her bank account.
That has caused Headey to turn to her ex-husband Peter Loughran and ask for an emergency $6,000 advance from their communal funds, TMZ reports. The couple, who split in 2012, are currently in the middle of a legal war to try to determine how they should split the $46,000 tax refund they received in 2011. Loughran is reportedly looking for half.
But Headey needs that money now because, according to court documents, she is living off credit to make sure she can provide for herself and her 2-year-old son. To compromise, she’s asking for $6,000 from the tax refund now and is willing to give Loughran the same money to cover his living expenses. Then she’d like to see the remaining $34,000 put in a “two-signature blocked bank account pending a settlement,” TMZ reports.
Headey currently plays Queen Cersei Lannister in HBO’s hit “Game of Thrones.” She also stars as Jocelyn Fray in the upcoming young adult adaptation “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.”
