“Girl Meets World” is just getting started. Disney Channel has ordered a second season of the “Boy Meets World” sequel series, with production set to begin in November.
In a statement, Adam Bonnett, Disney Channels Worldwide original programming EVP, says, “The series swiftly became a favorite of kids and their parents, many of whom grew up with ‘Boy Meets World’. We’re looking forward to watching Riley Matthews and Maya Hart make the world their own, as Cory and Topanga teach them life lessons along the way.”
The series follows Riley and Maya as they navigate junior high school with their friends. Of course, as Riley’s teacher, Cory is always there to keep an eye on his daughter. Several guest appearances by stars from the original show are set for the rest of the season, including Rider Strong (Shawn), Lee Norris (Minkus) and Danny McNulty (Harley).
“Girl Meets World” airs Fridays at 8:30 ET/PT on Disney Channel.
