The 22nd annual GLAAD Media Awards will roll out over the coming months in New York (Mar. 19), Los Angeles (April 16) and San Francisco (May 14). Assumed entrants “Glee” and “Modern Family” topped the TV nominations, with “The Kids Are Alright,” “Easy A” and “Howl” leading in the film categories.
“This year’s nominees represent some of the images and stories at the root of the growing acceptance of our community and support for our equality,” GLAAD president Jarrett Barrios says in a statement released by the organization. “They also have created a benchmark for inclusion of our community that other media outlets should look to.”
