“Glee” has added another jock.
Chord Overstreet, who’s appeared on “iCarly” and the pilot for ABC’s upcoming “No Ordinary Family,” will make his debut on the “Glee” season premiere on Sept. 21 as Sam, an athlete at McKinley High.
Finn (Cory Monteith) will guide the athlete, but soon the student will become the master when Sam becomes Finn’s competition. Wait, does that mean competition on the field or in New Directions? It can’t be for Rachel’s (Lea Michele) affections because she and Finn are supposed to stay together this season, right?
Overstreet is a 21-year-old musician from Tennessee, and from the sounds of his MySpace profile, he has a very mature, country vibe going on. We can’t wait to see if “Glee” will go country or not. That’s been missing from their lineup.
Overstreet it the latest guest star to be confirmed for the upcoming second season. John Stamos will play a dentist and possible love interest for Emma (Jayma Mays), while Charice will play a foreign exchange student.
No other guest stars have been confirmed, according to creator Ryan Murphy who set the record straight at Comic-Con on Sunday, July 26.
