The highly anticipated post Super Bowl episode of “Glee” didn’t disappoint.
The highlight of the episode definitely wasn’t the Chevy ad built up during the Green Bay, Pittsburgh match-up though, it was the spooky mash-up of Michael Jackson and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. And while the plot may have been sub-par at best, we did enjoy the zombie halftime performance significantly better than the Black Eyed Peas’ Super Bowl debacle.
The McKinley High crew gave “Thriller” and “Heads Will Roll” their best effort, and we liked the results. Since it’s not Halloween, we’re not totally sure what the tie in was (Yes, yes, we got the tie in to the jail inmates’ viral video), but it seems they could have saved this for a more appropriate time and chosen an alternate iconic tune for Sunday’s (Feb. 6) broadcast.
Either way, we’re not complaining. The makeup was fun, and we like they they kept it on for the remainder of the game, following their performance.
Listen to the track below, we’ll post a video clip as soon as it’s available.
What do you think? Did they do MJ justice?
