Monday (April 21) is the 118th running of the Boston Marathon, a year after the tragic bombings that killed three and left dozens injured.

“Today” co-host Natalie Morales is there running the marathon and above, she reports from the ground about the heightened security for the marathon, plus how this is the biggest field of runners in the event’s history.

Police commissioner William Evans, who has completed the marathon 18 times (!), tells Morales, “My heart and soul is into this race, it always has been, and that’s why it’s so important to show how resilient we are and how strong this city is.”
